Hi all, i hope someone can help here.

I'll explain this prob as simply as i can.

1. Did have water leak in Radiator and used a sealer which worked

2. Oil leak from bottom corner of Rocker cover

3. The car was driven by Partner when steam came from the engine.

4. I checked this morning to find NO OIL in engine so bought Oil and STP Engine Stop Leak. I added this to engine and ran engine for 10 mins when it started to miss.

I went to check plugs when i noticed water in the plug channels

I am going to get water out and check plugs but am wondering if this is the dreaded head gasket gone??

Can anyone advise?

Many Thanks in advance

Andy

may well be head gasket , however remember the inlet manifold has a water jacket and therefore has a rubber seal to stop water being sucked into the engine . this seal is less than a tenner , may be worth a look and sure as hell cheaper the a head gasket job . hope this help's .:)

Thank you for your quick response both.

It seems strange that all i did was run the engine for 10 minutes and its started to "miss" after i had added the engine stop leak liquid?

Could this have any effect as to the engine missing?

Thank you again for your help (I've got a serious headache!) :(

A quick update:-

Took out the spark plugs, cleaned them up and put back in. Started the Car and still missing.

Reved the engine quite hi and switched off again.

Got in the car to drive off and found it was running perfectly

Parked up and went back to start car later and it was missing again

Think something must have a blockage

Any ideas what?

Thanks

Andy

As mentioned worth changing the inlet manifold gasket but if it is still missing then do a compression test, and if it fails that then the head will have to come off.
