Hi i am gettting water in my Land Rover 200 TDi Cyclone Engine Breather i have changed the head gasket twice because i thought i might have not done it correctly the 1st time but iam still getting that creamy crap in my pipes which lead to my rocker cover. I had the head skimmed both times before i put it back and have put new head bolts in. The head gasket i have put on both times is the 3 hole one wich i was told by 4x4/landrover shop. Any idears would be help full.

The creamy mess is a WATER and OIL emulsion, and the big question is asking WHERE the water in the oil is coming from.

Are you losing coolant?

How much creamy mess is coming into the breather pipes?

There may be a connection, but then again, maybe not ...

This is bad news I'm afraid.

It's a 200 tdi right? And we can be pretty sure that there is a water leakage from the coolant into the engine oil.

The classic causes are cylinder head gasket failure, or a cracked cylinder head.

Let's invite the 200 tdi experts to comment on the probable cause of this.

when i had the head skimmed the 1st time i also had it presure tested too and the guy said that it was fine.

Hmmmm.... you need to persuade the 200tdi experts to help here, before you lift the head again. Who fitted the head last time?

Have you considered re-torquing all the head bolts? It sometimes used to help. Do it in the correct sequence.

if you think you fitted it correctly this is the time to take the head off and example the HG

if all looks well clean everything, then clean it again - then new HG - and refit making certain that you torque it down correctly, check the sequence your using is correct and that your reading the settings on your tool correctly
