Hi Everyone

Just bought new washer jets to replace the ones on the car which are not spraying. Turns out the previous owner has put non standard threaded one on and I can't get the nuts to loosen. Any suggestions?

Thanks
S

What are the jets made of? Metal or plastic. Will the jet turn in the hole? Can you use pliers on the underneath and turn the jet from above? Can you pull thepipeoff an get a socket over the nut?

Sounds like a job for the Dremel!!
Most the time they are of limited use, but if you need to cut something small they become priceless!

I am not 100% sure what the yets are made from but I am suspecting metal. I disconnected the washer pipes and it seems they might have been sealed on with something as they won't reconnect again hence no washer jets at the moment. I tried holding the jet with pliers and getting in with a spanner but I can't get a decent grip with the spanner cos of the bonnet liner and I tried to peel it back but it ended up ripping so gave up and tried to hold the nut with pliers and turn the yet but I can't get a good enough grip to get it started.

Now I have tested the new washer jets on the hoses and they will connect fine, it's just the job of getting them off.

Off to my mates after work one night to see if an extra pair of hands will work before I take it to the mechanic.
