The indicators were a pain to stay on in the right turn position, so last weekend decided to adjust the stalks on the column to try and centre them better. That seemed to work, however, through the week noticed the washer jets weren't working. Just took it apart and I've obviously pulled out a wire last weekend :( I can't see where it goes back though.

It's that black one in the foreground.
Some of those terminals have double wires going to them, but I can't see any sign of one having a wire missing.
It's a black wire that goes back to join a brown wire on one of the connections. It's a braided type wire, not solid core or stranded core.
Both rear and front washer jets have stopped.
Might it go in to the stalk where that green wire goes? If it does, there's no sign of how it might connect in there. :(

For anyone who can make more sense of these things than me, here's the wiring diagram. There isn't even a black wire to the wash/wipe switch?

Hi @Al2O3

Just opened mine, it appears the black wire goes from BROWN / green into the swtich with the GREEN / black wire .

If you want a piccie shout out.

Cheers

If I could like that picture more that once I'd like it many, many times!
Searched threads and there's not a lot out there. Thanks again. :)

No Worries,

Luckily it is a nice sunny day.......:p Plus it must be good Karma, because the Red Arrows just flew over my house.

Cheers

UNBELIEVABLE, mate. Jobs fixed.
Turns out that cable is braided because it just wedges in the hole that the stalk goes in to and connects to the stalk metal body to create a circuit.

I tested it as set up above. Bingo! Water blasting, no bother.
Threaded the black wire back through the hole, so the braiding was sticking out. Pushed the stalk back in and reinstalled it back on the column. :)
I did suspect it had come out of there, but wasn't sure. And, couldn't see a terminal connection inside. I now know there isn't one!
With the lack of info on the forums I really thought I was going to have to buy another one. They're not that expensive, but it would mean not using it for a few days in case in rained.
Thanks again, neilly. Tremendous. :)
