Warranty?

Bought a used L322 1yr ago so warranty due to expire; LR charges for 1 yr £920 ("approved") or £710 ("select").
So far all's been well, car's 3 1/2 yr old.

What do people feel: take the gamble or buy the warranty ??

lot of money to part with, gearbox failure common and expensive- but if your keeping the car bite the bullet and warranty it yourself to the same amount each year.

I.e £920 x 5 years =£4600

I don't know the L.R. warranties but I do deal with people with extended warranties on machinery and a lot of policies have, buried in the small print, that it must also be serviced up to their standard on a regular basis otherwise the insurers can reject the claim. So you might have to factor in the cost of 'approved' servicing as well. Beware.
