Otherwise he will break it !

I had been to VMTP this morning for oil change and Ecu check - all good no errors

On the way home I called in at his Tyre Emporium and offer him the keys to my TD6 so he can see how my new TC and Cleaned out gearbox performs

Well he gets in turns key and before it starts the dash starts flashing and bleeping - Trans Fail Safe Prog :censored:

Key off and back on Message now clear

So off I go back to VMTP (just incase a fault had occured) - only stored error was can bus comms error

Carried out hard reset and drove - ALL NOW GOOD

I have just completed 30 mile going in and out of Sport / Manual and Normal Mode - Hi-Lo range - EAS Off road, Motorway etc etc etc

Turned key on/off/on - no faults

So morale to story is DONT GIVE wil2813 YOUR KEYS ! - lol :bump2:

Too right :5bwilly_nilly:

My own theory is the Can Bus System doesnt like being poked with a Diagnostic Machine and needs a number of ignition key "cycles" to reset itself hence the (hopefully) 1 off message

If you play with the EAS system it will throw an error message on screen but turn key off and back on and the message clears

But wil2813 still aint gettin anywhere near my TD6 again lol lol lol
