WARNING LIGHTS

The usual problem indicated by the M+S lights flashing is trouble with the XYZ switch on the auto gearbox.
I'm not an autobox expert so I wouldn't know what diagnostics can be applied to the problem. I'm sure that other real experts will be along shortly.
 
it's compulsory to read the fault code stored in the autobox ECU...unless you have a low voltage issue due to weak battery or lack of charging, this can be ruled out with voltmeter on the battery with engine running which should be around 14V but if it doesnt go to limp mode it might not be the XYZ switch though there are 19 faults which can trigger those warnings that's why the code is important otherwise it can be just a guessing game
