Thanks for that it's some breakers advertise fuse box fits all p38's, battery should be here tomorrow fingers crossed and found somewhere in London that supplies 14.5 volt output regulator, will keep you all informed Andy

There are three different fuse boxes for the diesel and three different fuse boxes for the petrol, depending on year. All different part numbers.

Thanks for that it just makes finding one just to try will be hard work, would it cause all the faults at the same time though plus intermittent over the last few months, hope this battery sorts it tomorrow thanks again Andy.

Hi new battery fitted 1000 amp from battery megastore still no change 13.8, volts charge I know it should be 14.2 will order regulator today, surely should still charge at 13.8 volts, first warning light up is airbag then the rest come on wouldn't mind if it was just warning lights and things still worked while I sort it out, any ideas would be gratefully appreciated Andy.

Suggest you try some diagnostics guessing can prove very expensive.

Hi I have a Hawkeye machine but won't connect to ABS or Airbag circuits to read or clear any faults, have to wait for 14.5 regulator to come if still no joy looks like I'll have to take it to dealers Andy.

The 14.5 regulator will change nothing or at least i would be surprised if it did. You need some proper diagnostics on it.

Oooo, better fill your pockets before you go. My friend has had his Disco into the Stealers for them to look for a battery drain. £99 to tell him they charged the battery and all was well. Week later, you guessed it, back to Stealers after car was dead. Phoned him and said the battery was fine but should they put a new one on. He said yes put a Land Rover battery (£250) on and if it happens again, they will be sorting it out and he will not pay a penny more.:)

£250 for a battery is he insane? :D:D

Yes, and I told him, but not even an hour's work for him, consultant surgeon.:)

Funny that, i found that the people who moaned most about charging rates were doctors, solicitors, and the like. Farmers thought you should work for nothing. Tight bastards to a man or women as the case maybe. :D:D

The regulator will ensure your battery is charged but will make no difference to your problems.:)

I always knew the battery was charging but not enough but with it being a common fault on this site I'd give it a go, just can't understand how for a few months it's happened changed alternator fixed for a bit, then EAS delay timer relay same again, now new 1000 amp battery still same, but I have too much in the car over the last few years to scrap will have to bite the bullet and go to dealer thanks for the help Andy.

Have you checked the fuse box under the bonnet for signs or smells of burning?
IMO a dealer is unlikely to fix it, they will just empty your wallet, you need a good auto electrician.
