I was wondering if anyone can tell me what warning lamps are on a Discovery 1 diesel and what course they should be when lit up.
Or if anyone has a picture in colour of the lights and what they mean
Many thanks

Sorry, I don't have coloured pictures, but these are from the D1 Owner's Handbook:-

Don't you have an owners handbook in the glovebox?
All well explained there, number of warning lights depends on specification level of Disco.
But obviously if a warning light is on it means something is not right, the only ones that should illuminate when driving is the centre diff lock, if you have engaged it, high beam lights if you have beamed up, turn signals with trailer mimic, if you are indicating, handbrake warning if it's on.
From memory nothing else on my very basic 300Tdi "S" model is on when normal driving.
Maybe if you be more specific with what you are seeing, you can find out what you need to know.
Edit @brian47 has just come up with all you need to know, good stuff.

No
I have no books at all at the moment hence me asking

I'm not technical enough to do things like that
I can tell you it was a fair challenge for an old mechanical fitter like me, but I had lots of time on my hands and muddled my way through the electrical chicanery.
More time than money these days and I was more than happy with the result, but pity the next bloke that has to do electrical work on that Disco should I ever sell it on.

I have to employ people to do most things due to my disability
Luckily my mates land is training to be a mechanic so he does the smaller jobs for me as he's trying to earn money for tools etc

Whilst we're on the subject of lights etc, does anyone have problems with heater controls being dim?
My knobs don't illuminate and neither do the red and blue markings. The only bit that lights up are the bits that tell you where the blower is set (windscreen, feet etc)
Even the fan speed numbers don't light up

Any ideas?
