They lied. In fact for the GEMS there are multiple ways to do it, Security Learn being the easiest.

Please share you knowledge ;-) I would appreciate it.
Anyway syncmate ordered and it may help others out too.
I bought Fiat diagnostics back in the day and it payed for its self with one repair and helped a few folks out up here in Northumberland and Newcastle.
