Wanted new mother!!!
Cut a long story short i have been passed a free steering guard for my defender, nothing too fancy just old old rebel one.
Last weekend thought right i'll nip down to my mothers and have look at whats needed to fit the said guard, was looking forward to getting my hands dirty for the first time in years.
its prob been 20 years since i last held a spanner or a socket set, left school did my YTS yes thats how long its been YTS (young thick and stupid) did my time passed all my courses then decided motor machanics wasnt for me, strange i know but hey such is life.
anyway back to my little problem, in my 3 years training and working within the garage i managed to collect quite a lot of expensive snap on and britool tools including a nice tool chest.
So i parked my defender on the drive, mother put the kettle on whilst i looked in the garage for my old tools, yep you,ve guessed it no tools.... Mother brings cuppa, have you seen my tools mum cant find them anywhere???
To which i got the horrible responce of "Them old things i threw them out years ago"
Well you can imagine my shock, after picking myself off the floor and wiping away the tears i'm now stuck with a steering guard that i cant fit....
So before i go off the garage to get severly spanked and have my wallet lightened woundered if any of you lot lived around the wirksworth matlock area and would like to fit the guard for a few beer tokens obviously!!!
Or i have a defender dog guard which is no use to me as i have no dog and when i throw the mrs in the back she complains that it feels like shes in prison (i should be so lucky) looked on fleabay they seem to be worth around the £40 quid mark.. possible trade? fit my guard and i'll give you my dog guard... Thanks in advance... think mothers day is off this year!!!
