I hope its OK to post "wanted" here.
Please could anyone tell me if they have or know of where it may be possible
to get a reasonable 300 TDI engine for a Discovery?

once I replace the head gasket, I can offer you a complete 300 TDi disco...

but that may be the problem you already have.

Yes, In a nutshell.
Too many Discos and not enough ingins
These things seem to be rarer than hens teeth but maybe I'm not looking in
the right places?

You're a bit more likely to find a 200 - the main causes of scrapping discos
are gearbox failure or terminal rot in the back end.
