Wanted. 2.25 5 brg petrol engine.

Just as the title says. Does anyone have an unloved, tired 2.25 late series petrol engine they want to sell to a good home.
Its for a total rebuild and fitment into a restored 88.

I've got a 5bg military block. No cyl head, timing cover or ancillaries. It has a military rebuild plate on it as well. Not after much, if anything at all. Oh, and it's in Evesham, Worcs.

Thanks for the offer. I will bare it in mind. But I am hoping to get a complete engine or at least engine less ancilleries so I have a complete starting point.

It needs a good recondition, but comes with carb, both manifolds, starter and pretty much everything else except for the alternator! It's a 5 main bearing one (1980).

I am no longer in the UK, but the engine is sitting outside my workshop in Balham (London) so you can just go and pick it up if you want it (PM me for details).

Also sitter there are a full set of 2 leaf (front and rear) parabolics and some other bits which you can have for free too. They'll be picked up by a scrapy in a few weeks otherwise.

The engine seized a little due to low oil (think its the rear oil seal) and be being bad with checking but is now unsiezed. Though it's been sitting in the rain so might need a rehone to clear rust and whatnot (head was off for a few weeks but is now back on). But otherwise it's in good nick.

I'm in Portsmouth with a very tidy 2.25 1967 running well, I'm looking to change it for a V8 but have little knowledge and am looking for assistance, happy to swap, part ex, or buy, but need an engine that will be fitted by someone other than me, obviously paying for your labour. I have the enthusiasm, can help with muscle and make a proper Yorkshire cup of tea, but have not got the knowledge or the space.
