As per the title.
Just not sure which to go for - obviously NOT a Freelander.
I've had a Disco 1 and a Defender 110 and now I'm sort of stuck thinking about what to look for.
I'm not really into serious mud plugging (the lack of areas over here is amazing - the council close all the Byways over the winter) but still do like Tratters, even though they are uncomfortable and basic... I need to be able to fit the dogs in, so truck cabs are out.

I do like Discos and thought a TD5 would be good, then have been looking at early 00's Range Rovers...

I don't have a budget in mind at the moment, but it wants to be under £4.00

Any thoughts?

I think you may have to pay a little more than £4.00

Yes I know... But as I haven't decided on what I want, there is little point setting a budget...

109 might suit if you don't mind agricultural, and most will at least hold their value if you look after.

D2 are good, lots of space in the back for dogs or tools. V8 every time, they are ansum. Drive both, doubt if you will get the Td5.

If you want to spend more, still a few Td5 defenders around look reasonable value.

Dunno if most D2 chassis will handle that kind of power by now! Might break in the middle with the torque reaction on takeoff! :D

Great deals to be had, some nice examples under 2.5k. Cheap on the mainland due to fool economy, but you wont do much mileage on the island! :)
It could be fun - bet it would make some noise!
We have limited choice over here, so I will need to look on the North Isle for one...

Mine is fairly quiet with the stock exhaust. Vey quiet inside, the soundproofing is excellent, big improvement over the older landies.

I did look on Ebay and there is a 2007 RR that's done 276,000 miles for £940.00....

Look good wit a couple of Labradoodles int back?

Which'll be what her ex bought her, so she secretly hates it and everything it stands for. A lovely 109, as @Turboman suggested, is exactly what she'd love to be seen around in. Especially if it starts and goes.

Easy enough to put a V8 in a 109 too. Canvas top V8 converted 109, knicker oil ! ;):D

Get a range rover classic and see what all the fuss is about.

They are nice, but I doubt if good ones exactly grow on trees nowadays.
