I am looking at getting a set of waffles they seem to come in 3 common
thicknesses - 30mm,38mm and 50mm. I want to use them for a 1984 Landrover 90
(V8 not that i think it matters). I have no idea what the weight of the
vehicle is, I would guess 2.5 tonnes. What is the minimum size I should be
looking at, I have heard that 30mm isd not strong enough, what about 38mm?

Thanks for any advice.

Hiya,

Always go for the strongest you can. I have bought 50mm and they are pretty
strong. They will then work as bridging ladders as well.

The very thin ones are good as sand ladders but useless for bridging.
