Heavy Duty 4 X 4 Bridging Ladders, Waffle Boards, on eBay (end time 19-Feb-10 22:16:28 GMT) on ebay

used them hard for 2 years and always did the trick, still not even damaged. pretty much double the price but they wont break on you

All Waffle boards come from the same source. and start life as flooring grids in factories and oil refineries etc. They simply get cut up smaller to be used as waffle boards. the only difference is in the thickness 38mm or 50mm everything else is the same despite the fact that the sellers of these boards would have you believe otherwise.

I have a set of rubber ones as well. Obviously only usefull in certain situations, but come in real handy last year in the alps when I had to get a tossed in a pretend 4x4 with no diff locks out of the way so I could get up the road.

They also don't cause as much dmage when they go flying through the air and hit the tosser who you told to stand out of the way, but then decided to stand behind you anyway.

Obviously no use what so ever for bridging but much lighter to get out when all you need us traction on sand/snow.

no good for bridging you say - why do they advertise them as such? new to this but looking for some for expedition 0 130 crew cab plus rooof rack be interested in recommendations as well.
