Hi Guys,
Now my RRC is working again - think i should fix the speedo.

Been through ETM and done the test and got no voltage at the back of the cluster unit but not sure my voltmeter would show the voltage swap from 0 - 12v 6 times per revolution lol.

Are there any other tests i can do? The other dash light ive got on after the swim is the tranny box overheat alarm - im wondering if there are any plugs that ive knocked or that are wet and that the signals to the above ?

does the air suspension still lower from high to normal at 35 or drop to low at 55?

you need to see where/if the pulsed 12 v exists...

jack up car spin rear wheel to get prop spinning (by hand)this will give you nice slow 12v square wave your meter will read..use analogue meter with needle if possible, not digital..

or dissconnect speedo cable and spin by hand..see below.

car has speedo cable from gearbox to tradsducer on chassis (about 30cm long).from there 12v square wave to dash or (depends upon age) speed "relay" behind drivers kick panel.from there goes to speedo and eas ecu..its very simples..
trasducer under car requires 12v ignition feed..as does speedo relay if fitted..

Normally if speed transducer dies the EFI warning light comes on when the vehicle is driven because the EFI uses the input to switch on/off the idle stabilisation. If EFI warning light has come on suspect the transducer. I had one fail a few years ago after a wee trip on to Salisbury Plain but after getting a replacement, I cleaned up the original and it works - kept it as a spare.
