Vogue Supercharged cutting out while driving

Hi,
Previously logged this under the wrong prefix so posting a new thread under L322.
Before I contact my garage, thought LZ may have some advice as to why my Vogue Supercharged 55 plate cut out while driving. Red battery warning came on and amber engine symbol. Pulled over, waited a couple of minutes and then restarted and continued on to the end of my journey which was only a short distance.
Also, 6 weeks ago & went to start engine wouldn't start, same symbols came up, then left for couple of minutes and then started up straight away. Probably connected although one occurred while driving and one when stationary.
Any pointers.

If battery warning comes up while the engine is running, the alternator is causing grief. Check for loose connections and get alternator output tested.

As posted in previous thread, the Alt light came on in sympathy with the fact the engine stopped....if the EML light is lit, there will be a stored fault, time to get it on diagnostics - but as I said in the other thread - check the ignition switch is passing full battery voltage, they commonly don't and you only get 9-10 volts through which is enough to confuse the ECUs
