Vogue Supercharged cut out while driving

Hi,
Before I contact my garage thought LZ may have some advice as to why my Vogue Supercharged cut out while driving. Red battery warning came on and amber engine. Pulled over, waited a couple of minutes and then restarted and continued on to the end of my journey which was only a short distance.
Any pointers.

WOW a Supercharged Classic....is it one of Zen's many creatios???

I think you may have put the wrong Prefix on the Title...

Difficult to diagnose intermittent issues...Diagnostics is the way to go, but it is possibly a dodgy ignition switch, they have been known to not pass the full battery voltage through them at times only allowing 9-10 volts at best...

Like most other things on a Range Rover, it is a common fail item!

Yes, you're probably right, wrong prefix, I'm logging this call on behalf of my husband who is at work. :doh:
It's a Vogue supercharged 55 plate.
Does he have to go to a garage to run the diagnostics or are there any good kits available for home use?

If you change the prefix,it'll help bring in those who might be able to assist. I've tried to make it easier to identify but only the OP can change the prefix

Not sure if the RSW All Comms will talk to the S/C engine....should do, never tried...this is the budget end of diagnatic fault readers at £200 odd....

Then there is the Bearmach Hawkeye or the Gap Diagnostics IIDTool...around the £300-£350 mark.....

All singing and dancing Faultmate Extreme but thats nigh on £1000.....but sooooooo worth it apparently!

Not sure you'll have to check the VIN no, but some will only work up to 5A999999 while others will go up to the 2009 model year!

Alternator if the battery warning came on IMO, either that or bad battery/earth connections.

From the way I read it....Alt light came on in sympathy to the engine stalling...

They say once restarted, journey was normal!
