vm 2.4 diesel engine into my series 3

hi all, i currently have a 2.1/4 petrol engine in my series 3, but been offered a 2.4td vm engine out of a rangie classis, just wondering if anyone has done it or if its possible and easy ish any info would be ace thanks

Dunno about the engine mounts etc but you'll need all the engine electronics etc as well so unless you've got a complete rangie as a donor vehicle it could turn out expensive. If you want to put a decent diesel in there you need to get your hands on a disco 200tdi. Fairly easy to fit, all the conversion bits are available and masses of "how to" stuff on the net. Plus no nasty electronics to go wrong
