I dont get your point with that list as it's for defenders ... what i meant is that the bigger the tyre's diameter is the harder the engine works so the ECT is higher too that's all. Std dimension tyre for 300tdi(D1) is considered 235/70/16 while 285/75/16 is 14% bigger in circumference so you can add aprox the same percent to any reading taken from a vehicle with std dimension tyres. If you dont believe that make a test and fit std tyres then watch the ECT and EGT and you'll see cos 450 on flat at 70mph is too much

My 200s run high 80s pretty much all the tima, and like any engine at low speed but highish rpms can get hot very quickly, even had one lock up on me once, heat seizing a diesel that takes some doing, was in the winter as well!
Winter it is a real struggle to keep the engine working hard enough doing normal road work to keep the coolant temp above 80degc.
