Hi, I seem to be having a problem removing the viscous fan from a 300 tdi defender.
When I first tried to undo the 32mm nut behind the fan it was moving the drivebelt pulleys too, so I shocked it loose with a few smacks from a hammer which seemed to do the trick, the nut is now loose, however it just seems to spin and spin now without actually undoing. The pulleys and fan don't move when I spin the nut but nothing ever seems to undo
Im loosening it from left to right so clockwise if you are standing in front of the car
What am I missing??
