I might have the chance to get my Defender vinyl wrapped cheaply be my cousin.

Has anyone had their Defender done? Pros/cons?

My doors have some corrosion bubbles, I'll sand and treat them before applying the wrap, will this be good enough?

Will the wrap help protect it from further corrosion?

The corrosion is caused by water inside the door and ali skin/steel frame. It usually gets in past the window seal and bubbling appears along the bottom on the doors.

If that's the case with yours then wrapping won't help

Yeah it is. I've replaced the lower scrapers to try and help it. This Is actually at the top of the door just below the window.

If I treat it it shouldn't come back for a while?

Tbh this is a cheap way to get my Defender looking Smart. It looks ok but it's a 10 feet vehicle, lol!

Depends on the vinyl quality I found. In my ... younger... days, I wrapped a bonnet on my MGZT in carbon effect. Looked alright in my chav eyes :)

Is that the matt black one? Looked good.

The only thing is as with every Defender it has a few dings and dents, so was thinking of a wrap that would disguise them

This is my Defender:

And I was thinking of something like this:

Cool or ****e?

Theres a bloke in whitehaven with freelander with a similar looking wrap.

It looks gay as hell. Well it did before...

but you know what I mean.

My missus would kill me if i brought that home. Try Hippy motors if you want to cover up dents
