just shows you cant allways rely on things been right even after theyve supposedly been done,are your swivels still unequal in pull required or was that a misjudgement
 
Nope the air filters fine lol smart arse. Like I said, I got it balanced so as far as I was concerned I'd ticked that off the list. As I said hey ho lol it's sorted now.

About that transfer box....
 
mines a 1.2 :p new input gear and bearings
... But can you guarantee that it has never been anywhere near one of your V8's?? :eek::eek:

If it has, would it easily convert into a coffee table? :D:D

you can come tomorrow, but i'm not sure i can get the workshop to do it in with this short notice.

no, no new input gear on it.. it still has the gearbox attached

all stripped and looks good, couldn't see any leaks or any issues. the gearbox input shaft looked brand new, i couldn't see any wear and i found rtv on the tbox inspection casing bit so i think it's been replaced recently. you can have a look and decide.

only issue was i found i had to cut a bolt off on the front flange, so it needs a new one.

if i were you though, i'd go and renew the seals, shaft and the two flanges. i'd also get some flange bolts while you are at it. although the tbox isn't crazy heavy. it's still heavy enough to make it a pita job for the sake of a fiver.

and i might reconsider doing it on your drive, like i say it's heavy enough to be awkward on your back.. eat your shreddies!
