I would love a new music box that played CD's but worried about fitting as the plugs never match up.
How do you get around that please:)

An easy way is to check on halfrauds website to see if it fits your make and model . Then buy it elsewhere . That radio came with a wiring harness ,just unplug the old set and plug into new .I hate lecktrickery and this took 5 minutes . Easy peasy .;)

just done the same thing the new radio had all the leads i needed just bought the keys to remove old radio and an aerial adapter. like wise stay clear of halfords go to an independent they guided me on what was needed halfords wanted fifty notes for five minutes work.

I only have about 10 ,at most cd's ,that aren't scratched beyond repair . I put some music on a memory stick this morning .It plays them very nicely . It tells me what album and song I'm listening to .

The old radio struggled to find any signal .The new radio picks up loads of stations crystal clear and scrolls instantly to the next station .

Looks good too. I will put up a photo later

Did you keep the HK amp? If so, are you using pre-outs (line out) on the new headunit?

I'm worried that the amplified outputs on a headunit could blow the HK amp up.

In an attempt to keep my life simple I've just bought a lead which is supposed to allow me to plug my iPhone into the Becker headunit instead of the CD Changer, i'll have a go at fitting tomorrow, if it doesn't work, I'll be getting a new headunit too.

HK amp? Not all freebys, infact hardly any have a seperate amp. (I think only the freebys with the factory harmon kardon sub in the cubby hole had the amp).

Ok ,now I want to change the speakers .
I have searched and most threads relate to dimensions . I don't know what kind of speakers I'm looking for . Do I want, can I fit 2 way,3 way , 4 way speakers ? What are coaxial speakers ? do most come with a wiring adapter ?
Will subwoofer speakers work ?

The standard speakers are ok for listening to the radio ,but if I want to listen to Die Antwood (my new favorite group ,from South Africa) the speakers seem to fart and crumble .
