the engine built in brazil is the International 2.8L Tdi PowerStroke - which is a development of the 300 TDi

I copied this from prins motoren website who is an official distributor for International

The VM engines are Italian

Looks like a 300 and id say the engine number looks iffy.
the numbers are not spaced evenly and the 6 dosnt look to be fully stamped.

FFS It was built in Solihull you don't really expect things to look "right" do you. Some lazy fooking Yamyam was probably stamping that whilst thinking about shagging his bird round the back of gas works..

its a 300 tdi thats someone has restamped the wrong number ,a few years ago a good percentage of used parts were nicked,it was surprising how much ,it was a mistake alot of people made as quite a few of lr engines are 2.5 litre

it is out of a disco for whatever thats worth i would certainly ask why someone has restamped the wrong number ,it wouldnt look good to anybody that knows anything about lrs

Does it really matter, it was 2 and a half years ago!

so what abought 23L i know that it is a 300 tdi but it was built in 97 not aftre 99 and according to my book and land rover them selfs it is an original fitted at factory 300 tdi
