Vdo temp sender???

Got a defender 200tdi
And want to fit a vdo temp gauge
Looked about and i can see the mod by drilling and tapping the old sender to fit a vdo one to match the gauge
But i have found this and wonderd if this will b ok as a straight swap part number
323-801-001-008n

If you have a 120 degree gauge and it is the correct thread then I don't see why not, that said looking at the ad if that is NOS it looks like it has been stored at the bottom of the sea! Go for a new one
