Where was it from? If it was from Bell Engineering, ask them to test it. Normally there recon VCUs are as good as the original part.
Not bell, got it through local
didnt come from bell, my local spares shop got it for me.

So the quality of it can't be guaranteed then.
Yep all was working before I changed it, reason it was changed was it was starting to weap fluid.

I'm guessing you have a substandard replacement, or even a 2WD VCU.

Never heard of a VCU leaking!?!? Can you remember where it was leaking from and was the 'original' a refurb?

If it was leaking fluid then it was probably refurbed before and not properly sealed. (Don't ask how I know
)Easiest way to check things is do the one wheel up test and watch what is happening to the VCU and propshafts.
Leaking from the front don’t know if it’s original or been refurbished probably original as i got car with 70000 miles onit in 2013 and now has 170000 of road quite a bit so always had work fir the vcu, problem solved now got a proper refurbished one from bell Engineering
