hi got a 02 td4 95000 miles changed the vcu and propshaft bearings now before i removed the old prop and vcu i did not mark anythink.put the new vcu on with new bearings now i have a slight vibration at 50-55.a freind said that the rear shaft can only go on 2 ways as the holes are different so he said turn the rear prop 180 degrees which i did vibration still there.so removed front prop to see if that was in the wrong place but still there now .i notice that with the front prop removed back one still turns so i dont think it can be the bearings.any ideas anyone please.i want to remove the rear propshaft and refit just the front one can this be done just to double check to see if it is the bearings

Are the bearings replaced at 90 degrees to the propshaft?

Are they LR, OEM or cheap bearings?

Haynes says that the bearings should be at 90 degrees and there is a tool that LR use to set this. S'pose you can see from the existing marks on the underside where the old ones were positioned?

The garage I use for my freelander said that they mark the splines on the pop to the IRD so that it goes back in the same as it came out.
