Vacuum Pump Leaking

Afternoon all, hope you had a great weekend.

So I've had Doife for a week and just to prove she's a Defender, she's dropping oil on the drive!

The vacuum pump is leaking through the gasket. It's going to be fixed under warranty tomorrow so fingers crossed that'll be it.

My question is is this fault common? Can I expect to be repairing this when the 6 month warranty runs out? Also, does this fault perhaps indicate other issues (apart from of course it's a Defender)?

do you mean the pump itself or the servo unit

Hmmmm, not sure Vilguy, the oil is coming out at the gasket between the top part (pump?) and the bottom part (servo?)

if oils coming out it sounds like the pump.

Servo shouldnt have any oil in it!

Take a picture and post it up here (theres some guidance on how to do it somewhere....)

The oil is leaking from the gasket between the two components at the arrow.

Any thoughts?
