Wonder if you allowed to reject stuff and then pay 20p to take it home
Alot of their parts are reject, some are good though. Most of the Chinese stuff is getting better though , just some crap stuff still gets through though.
They change the materials and design specs of parts without telling their customers and the suppliers of their parts

Looking at the job description it seems to be mainly about checking things are the same size as the original, or as specified in the original factory drawings. It doesn't say anything about checking whether the parts will last very long.

I won't put the company I work for on here as they are pretty particular about unauthorized posting mentioning them.
But in certain roles it's extremely difficult to find personnel, we've had a vacancy for deputy head of our electronics lab for effectively 5 years, we've recruited someone twice, one the person got moved to a different position , the second his wife forced him to move back to where they came from.
The problem now is the head of lab retires in 11 months and I retire in 17months. That will leave the company up the creak without a paddle, or come to that, boat. They've recruited one who should start soon for the test software designer replacing another retirement..
So in ,18 months there will be just one left who really knows how to do the work.

Niche roles are always hard to fill ...
