V8??????????

got the chance of a v8 defender engine,would it be worth changing my 2.5td to the V8.what sort of mpg would i get from it and would i have to change the axles for the disc brakes.

my mate gets 18mpg if he's lucky

If it was just for offroading then i'd personally go for it but for a bit of everything I'd just get a disco 200 tdi lump for it

Not sure on the axels but i know the props are stronger for the v8 than the dervs
