V8 petrol choke warning light.

Drive along today with the temp at normal and my choke warning light came on. It's never come on before even at 16 below zero in winter. What's it for? Why has it come on?

AFAIK its only there for if you have a manual choke, so should never come on for auto choked engines.
probably just the start of a bad earth, or if you do haver a manual choke, its now decided to work

It's a manual choke. I checked all the cables to the carb and it's all normal. Probably an old corroded switch that's come back to life.
