v8 mid silencer removal?

I am reliably informed (by a man who knows these things) that my box is from a Transit (fnaar fnaar). It's roughly in the middle & the noise (inside) is lovely in enclosed spaces but fairly subdued at normal road speeds (until you gas it - then it makes you smile). Oh yeah, it's a disco 1 with a 3.9 V8 and edelbrock carb. Cheers, HTB

ive got a v8 with mid boxremoved, sounds sweet, but mot an issue emissions went through the roof??. also the guy took the blanking plate off the air intake so revved nicely.

only removing the CAT would affect the emissions.

i've got no cats and twin exit straight thrus...but always have the LPG on for the MOT i would worry about running on petrol for the emissions tho

£228 for 1 exhaust box

regarding the 'hot floor' the mid box should have a heat shield fitted to the top of it, some boxes come with the brackets and some don't as i found out meself when i went to lift me rear carpet only to find the burnt stuck mess that used to be the sound deadening underneath
