Hello to all. Just picked up a Discovery V8 this afternoon. K plate 3 door, viewed it last night in the dark and towed it home about 8 miles today.The nice gentleman i bought it from told me he could not "get any gears". The engine would not start either but was turning over.Well i got it home and lifted the bonnet for the first time, i could not believe it when i immediately noticed a wire off the coil,pushed it back on , turned the key and it burst into life.My mate and me looked at each other in disbelief. Anyway, sorry to go on a bit , but then i jumped in and checked the transfer gearlever, which was in neutral. Shoved it into high, and drove the thing up and down the street no problem.Well i could not contain myself by this time and i was jumping around like Rocky Balboa at the top of those steps in Philadelphia. Hoping to find a £20 note under the back seats tommorrow!! Oh, forgot to mention the price,,£250.Hopefully one of the best buys i have ever had. Until i start putting petrol in it......
