V8 Carb connecting bar

Hi All, I've just replaced my SU carbs on my 1988 110. All has gone well except that having balanced the carbs I find that as soon as I go to reconnect the link bar between the 2 the joining bar seems marginally too short i.e. as I connect it its opening the throttle slightly and putting the carbs out of balance again. Can anyone with a V8 tell me how long exactly their bar is? Mine is 135 mm and seems about 10mm too short!

I can now answer my own question, as I mentioned my bar is 135 mm, a bar from a range rover classic V8 is 146 mm, my guess is I have an intake manifold from a rangey and a connecting bar from a Defender!
Thankfully now sorted
