V6

I'm looking at dropping a v6 jaguar engine into my freelander and would some advice of anyone who has done this

No one that I am aware of has done any engine swap successfully and retained the 4wd system.

There have been successful rover 2.0turbi swaps but only 2wd. An Aussie was doing a Toyota engine but I don't think it was ever finished. Also a couple of the guys here are kicking around rover/Toyota ideas but have been quiet for a couple of months.

Best of luck if you can weld/ fabricate. Have access to lathe and milling machine and an electro mechanical engineering background. Otherwise I think you are flogging a dead horse and are entertaining a money pit that will never drive again.
