Follow one on the motorway a conrod and various engine bits will fall off it eventually. 
Part number is LFF101120 but can't find them listed anywhere.

haha that's very true.. I did try to warn the own of this particular one but he hell bent on fixing it...

A scrap engine maybe the only place to get one unless you get lucky.

Would I be right in thinking the Rover 200/25 1.8 engine is the same bottom end?

Sadly they are for the 2.5 v6 version only. Don't think the 1.8 made it to the US.

Yep. Same bottom end. I'm curious as to why you need a rod? They don't generally break but if they do, the rest of the bottom end is usually scrap!
