This has been doing my head in, all help greatly appreciated. Filled up with £15 petrol on friday, went to work, got car power washed drove for 40 miles, car lost power, would not rev then just died. Towed back to garage, found to be water in petrol tank (are fuel caps known to leak) as this is the only way water could have got in tank petrol from well known garage, and did not have any other problems with customers cars.Drained and cleaned out tank, blew lines through, started eventually, but did take time. Would not run worth a damn. replaced plugs, cap and rotor arm.starts first time, ticks over lovely, drives 200 yards and wont rev, switch off for 10 mins and does same again. The fuel pump is pumping fuel,is the problem the pump or filter, or is there something else i am missing. Filter is the in pump item, which is £30 from dealear, and pump is over £200, i do not want to buy these items if this is not the fault. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
