Uprating intercooler on 200TDI.....???

Been thinking of uprating the intercooler on my discovery, was just looking at getting a universal one from ebay and making up the hoses......

The likes of twisted performance and the likes seem to charge loads for an uprated intercooler, i cant see the difference between a 100 quid one off the bay and there's obviously it means making brackets and so on, but would the gain be the same????

Then with a few pump tweeks to increase fuelling and a few adjustments to the turbo, I should see a more powerful, more fun Landy?

Anyone done this and what difference has it made????

get down a scrapyard with your spanners and a tape measure, get one that is bigger and more do'able. £100 off ebay, sod that for a game o soldiers. there are loads of em in the scrappie for a quarter of the price
