Today, after filling my tank (and parting with 110) I noticed a strange behaviour: after 10km my avereage was 6.5lt/100km and the computer was showing me an autonomy of 600km. Now, this being a 90lt tank at 6.5lt/100km I should be seeing an autonomy of around 1.300km! After a while, my mileage rose to 7.0lt/100km and my autonomy was around 700km.
The fuel gauge was sitting at the very top of the dial, so the ECM was reading the tank level correctly. After stopping the car, with the engine on, the autonomy was steadily rising! Can someone explain this behaviour ?
Also, I'd like to try to understand how the mileage calculation actually works but can't find any real info on RAVE. I believe that LR wouldn't have shipped a car with such a lousy problem, so I'm guessing this is something that can be fixed to produce more reliable results.
And btw, I do know that my real average is not 7lt/100km
