Tyres

Haven't run them myself. They are a remould of an old school pattern. Suspect they are perfectly fine, but probably better suited if you plan a little off road action. There are likely better road tyres. Do you have a budget in mind?

These look like Chinese/Thai ditch finders, rock hard out of the box and not the type that'll get you out of the ditch. For the price you'd be better off buying Discoverer STT Pro from someone like Camskill

Not too sure the STT Pro will get you out of a ditch either ;)

Also, reasonable price difference too. And the STT isn't a 7.50!

Ha, have you used them? They're highly effective off road and very good on road in all weather conditions. They're designed as a proper balance between on/off road tyres with an off-road bias. They're very quiet on road with no vibration and...are strong/well built. I know a good number of Land Rover owners who now won't use anything else. Re' size, they're a near direct replacement for 7.50 with only the slightest difference in rolling radius and larger width.

Note you don't have an issue with STT Pro's from your 2015 posted photo', the STT Pro shod 90/Ninety appears to be doing quite well

I have some STT's on a 90 at the moment. The STT Pro was their replacement, but much the same thing, just designed to meet the stricter drive-by noise regs. Have seen plenty of people using the STT Pro at trials events. And nearly all struggle off road with them. Not saying they are a bad tyre, but much more of an aggressive All Terrain than an MT.

Don't agree about 235/85's and 7.50's they are similar, but a completely different size still. It's like saying a 265/75 and a 235/85 are the same??? A 'proper' 7.50 should be a lot more narrow. Not really sure why you have posted the picture of the white pickup? It is running Recip Trials, which are much more aggressive than STT Pros.

They do look the part , very hard compound difficult to damage off-road noisy on road and a bit lairy on wet corners sometimes, i swapped with Avon rangemasters, if you want some on I have some in back garden that need to go

Personally I like the look of them, I don’t like over large, thin or wide tyres , so I have stuck with the 7.50 x r16
Only downsides for me was when driving they do make a noise which turns heads from 50yds away
Wet handling is poor but once you know this then you go slower round corners, good off road and very tough and I had no concerns of holed sidewalls on off road rocky stretches
You had the same engine as mine a 2286 diesel , but I put a 200di in a couple of years ago
What have you on yours now , are they bald, not happy with them , do you need to change or just fancy something different
