Morning all.
My other half has recently purchased a Discovery 3. It is currently on 255/55/19. The tyres are ready for replacement but in my opinion they look too small for the vehicle although I am guessing they are the original size.
Does anyone have any advice or experience on going slightly bigger ?
Thanks,
Higgsy.

This is not a joke IMO(from D3 owner's handbook):

I haven't put the wheel/tyre combinations above through a tyre calculator, but I'm presuming they all maintain much the same rolling diameter. So you could find a set of smaller wheels/alloys of the size listed (ebay etc) and then fit the higher profile tyres on them.

hi

the maximum ideal diameter of tyre u can fit is 31.6 inches , plse also ensure the sidewall rating is a min of 111t, bigger the sidewall the better

if i may also say don’t fit low profile tyres as the ride will be awful along with danger of damage through pot holes and off road

hope that helps

agreed, personally i’ve got 235/70/17 on mine and must admit the ride is really nice

did test drive a D3 with 50 profiles on it and was aweful,

one of my pet hates seeing low profile tyres fitted to a 4x4
