With pending Divorce and school fees, need to save dosh somewhere.
My beloved L322 (2011) needs new shoes 3mm on two tyres and 4.5mm on the other two. 255/50 R20.
My local RR indy quoted me £300 per Pirelli Scorpions against two online that quote 176, but I wondered if anyone had gone budget ......
Don't need to go offroad ....so wondered about budgets. I know budget tyres have come on leaps in the last few years ......... TOTD XL budget £72 fitted vs P Scorps XL £175 fitted, or the round black people quote £85

(...and I know you need to fit new to rears (pref in pairs) or all round)

So I wondered if anyone had tried budgets

Thanks in anticipation ........

Quite a few of us run roadian tyres on the P38 no issue's, and I think a few l322 owners do as well, if that's any help.

I use Nexen - from E-tyres. They have a very low rolling resistance and excellent wet performance. If you're not off-roading they're quiet and fuel efficient.

My Pirelli Scorpions lasted a good 6 years on 19 in sport rims. just replaced with uniroyal rainsport 3 from Camskill at 91 each inc vat.

So good I just put a set on the Cayenne

Generally speaking a 'budget' tyre will just not last as long as a mid/top of the range tyre would. In the long run you may not be saving by buying cheap. Performance wise, you should be able to compare this when reviewing the stats for each tyre you're considering.....wet/noise/etc.

My view on tyres. Always try and buy the best you can afford. You've got a heavy vehicle so grip is important.

Can't recommend these tyres highly enough, amazing ride and road holding plus incredible value. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...r20-109-y-xl&usg=AOvVaw1fk8xSTpkG-0HdfsXymo0w

I've got nexens winters on mine and never had an issue with grip. They also seem to be lasting very well.
