Tyres

Hi,

I've been looking around for some decent winter tyres for my Freelander, which is an '06 TD4 with 17" wheels. I've had a search on the forums, but can't find any specifically for the Freelander as they're mainly for the Disco or Defender!

I'm looking at Grabber AT2 or something similar, but am a tad concerned that they'll be too big to put on 17" wheels and will scrape on the arches.

Two questions:

Are these tyres ok to put on?
or
Do I need to go down to a 16" or 15" wheel to get these tyres, or similar?

Could add a third question: Any other tyres people would recommed for the up coming winter?

Think 17's are too big matey and I think 16's are probably the biggest you'll get. I bought a second hand set of 16's for about £130 on Guntree and are sitting ready for a set of AT2's or similar to be fitted soon (probably punt the 17's after that).

I had a feeling I'd have to drop an inch or 2 off the wheel size. Still not too sure whether to go for 15" or 16" though. Probably 16", but will check prices
