Tyre Size

I am looking to change the tyres on my discovery soon and i would like to go up to 235/80/16 from 205/80/16 on 7J rims. Would this be ok without any problems or should i stick to the standard size? Your help would be much appreciated.

Any reason why? just wandered. If i need to stick to the same size then no problem that's what i'll do.. Cheers.

You can fit bigger tires no problem, all you may have to do is adjust the swivel stops so they don't catch on full lock.

The reason why is there is no such thing as 235/80x16
You can go 235/75x16 with no lift and 215/80x16 with a 1" lift or arch trimming. Best of luck.

i have just put insa turbo special track size 265/75/16 on my disco that has a 2" lift and it is causing me all sorts of problems with them on. So much so i am either going to have to take them off and buy a smaller size or it's out with the grinder. I did have 245/70/16 all terrain tyres on before without any problems.(of course the limit stops had to be adjusted though.)
