Tyre query!

Hi wonder if anyone can help me please!?
I have a freelander 2 currently fitted with 215/75 R16 i need 4 new tyres but would like all terrain tyres, however the above size are coming up as comercial van tyres. Can amyone advise if i can use 235/65 R16? I had these on my freelander MK1.

They're a little small, you will be correct size wise with 235/70 r16 and you will have an even greater selection of tyres.

Fabulous thank you, unfortunately when the tyre guys put the reg in it fetches up 215 or otherwise they say i need 17" rims.....all very confusing! So if i ask for the above there wont be any clearence issues?

This site is useful for comparing tyre setups, but obviously it will not show if any increase in width will foul the car under full lock or wheel articulation.

20mm increase in tyre width decided by the centre line gives +10mm inside, well within tolerance as i recommended the closest tyre size being 0.8% bigger than standard so increase in diameter of 6mm'ish that's barely half your tread depth total inside edge increase of 12mm tops which is about the width of your pinkie
