Maximum road weight on front axle is 1320 Kgs. Rear axle 1840 Kgs. Hence 10 psi more pressure.

think most of us fiddle with the trye pressures, and find what suits us. personally i put a bit more in the front and a bit less in the back. normally run with 30 front 36 rear. works for me.

But is that when hauling/towing trailer? but what about when empty( just people back and forth to work) surley the front axle has more weight than rear axle.

Yeah it has but the weight on the front axle does not change overly when the car is loaded, the weight on the rear axle does. That is why people change pressure to suit themselves. If they drive light all the time dropping the rear pressure makes the ride a little less harsh. Specially if you use larger wheels and silly tyres. Personally i run mine as specified. Runniing lower pressures uses marginally more fuel. Think i also remember from somewhere that (at least in UK) it is actually illegal not to have correct tyre pressures.

Here on my truck ( diesel) my recommend tyre psi is 60-80psi depending on loading, Truck is rated for a 20k# trailer and load. I run 70psi front and 60 on the rear unless loaded then its 80psi. I have even tyre wear all around. Tyres are 285-70-18's load range E Cooper ATR and get about 60-65 thousand miles on the tyres. Truck weighs in at about 8100# empty

Also 32 psi might suit you but may not suit someone who habbitually carries a large tool kit and or dog in the back.
manual may well give guide lines for pressure but the only sure way is to do a chalk test

Wammers never mind him,you and alot more are an asset to this forum,wether your old or young,intelligence isn't measured by age but experience and on top of it keeping uptodate is the key factor that insures continuity,the cup of knowledge never gets full.
