two problems with my p38 2.5 dse
The first problem is it seems to be blowing its self up to much on the drivers side what could it be ? 2. slugish al low revs and the kick down on the auto box is only working when you put the pedle as far down as it will go is this normal ?

Measure the distances between the centre of the wheel arch and the centre of the wheel rim....

Distances are:
Access 405mm
M/way 445mm
Std 470mm
High 510mm

Do that on all four wheels if there are differences you will need the EASUnlock software and lead from a member on here called datatek (about £11 plus post) and this will allow you to recalibrate the height sensors.

The height is determined by a sensor on each corner that feeds back to the electronics. This feedback can be altered by plugging in, as SAINT says, the lead that you can get from DATATEK. Along with it comes a CD with the suspension software and a copy of RAVE, the workshop manual and a guide to changing the suspension bags.

As for the sluggishness all decent 4x4s shouild have a fairly long pedal travel to give control at low speeds. The Rangie diesel is slightly worse in that it needs the turbo that doesn't come on song until about 2,400 rpm. Having said that it's worth checking; the wee vacum pipe from under the inlet manifold, in-tank pump, fuel and air filter etc. etc.

Kickdown on an automatic always only comes in with the pedal to the metal, usually with some gusto.

If you're going to stick around on here it's worth putting a location on your details, we can be a helpful bunch, usually with bribery of cuppas and biccies, butties, pies, cake etc. etc.

:D

The diesel is sluggish at low revs, you need to boot it to make it go, kick down occurs at the end of the pedal travel. The suspension sounds like a sensor problem:)

if your planning on keeping your derv rangie id get it chipped or a tuning box. makes a hell of a difference
