I posted some time ago about a grumbling noise from the rear(cue the jokes) which i suspected to be the diff, and in another post about a knocking noise when on bumpy/uneven ground, suspected hub bearings/bushes.
So, as i haven't used the car much, nor had the chance to investigate, i decided to take her to my workshop today to have a look. Surprisingly, the grumble and the knocking both seemed to have gone! I know this is going to be a temporary thing and both will come back but makes me think that both problems must be related. Can't be coincidence that they both stop together? Not being a mechanic, i don't know what could cause both symptoms but assume it will point those who are, in the right direction. My uneducated guess is still wheel hub bearings. I use it for the odd trip at weekends and passed mot a few months back if that helps. As always, any help appreciated.

Had diff replaced 18 months ago so haven't checked that and had vcu done couple of months ago and guy said transfer box ok and topped oil up.

Used the car for a few trips without noises etc then today, set of to my workshop and the noises are back. Didn't do anything different on previous trip, parked in same spot too. But, I noticed that the passenger side rear was higher than drivers side! Could this possibly cause the noises, ie, could the leaning be putting more sideways pressure on something?
Or am I just clutching at straws?

Is the drivers side wheel catching on the arch lining/mud flap?

No. It's not leaning that much. Very puzzled why it just came back. If I had hit something or drove up onto a kerb iconic understand. Back to my original guess. Wheel hub bearings? Could the leaning cause them to grate?
